Beginning Hymnplayer Book 1.

Students may begin in the Beginning Hymnplayer 1 after learning very basic note names and values. Note and rest values are limited to quarter, half, dotted half, and whole. Students learn about the gospel song, hymn, carol, and spiritual, and play examples of each. A simple one-note left hand accompaniment to a single melody line is introduced, as well as transposition up a 2nd. Teacher-student and student-student duets are included.
